Do you have years of experience in your trade but lack a formal certificate? Whether you learned your craft on the job,

through an apprenticeship, on-job training or via self-taught experience, 

The Nairobi National Polytechnic (TNNP) is ready to help you have your skills recognized.

Our RPL program allows you to transform your practical skills into a nationally & internationally recognized qualification.

 

General Eligibility & Entry Requirements

Work Experience - Evidence of at least two (2) years of relevant work experience in the trade area applied for, and be currently practicing the trade.

Age - Must be 18 years and above with a valid National ID or Passport.

Portfolio of Evidence (PoE) - Willingness to provide evidence of prior work (e.g. job contracts, offer letters, letters of recommendation from employers/clients, photos/videos of completed projects, or previous certificates of similar trade).

 

Trade Areas Available for Assessment

🚗 Automotive Engineering - Panel beating, spray painting, Automotive Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Electrician.

⚡ Electrical Installation - Domestic and industrial Installation (wiring) and solar installation.

🧱 Masonry - General building construction and structural works.

📐 Tiling - Floor and wall tiling for residential and commercial spaces.

💄 Cosmetology - Plaiting, Barbering, Hairdressing, beauty therapy, and skin care.

💻 ICT - Basic Computer maintenance, Networking, and Digital literacy.

🏨 Hospitality - Food production (Cookery), food and beverage service, and housekeeping.

🔥 Welding - Metalwork and structural welding.

🚰 Plumbing - Pipe fitting and water systems.
